“Iran Salam Tour with Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini”
I just returned from 9 days in Iran. My mind is still on overdrive from
all we experienced. I chose Uppersia because of their professional
website and excellent response time. Mahnaz took care of organizing all
the details. We chose the Iran Salam Tour with some slight modifications
(adding the Khomeini Holy Shrine). The process was straightforward and
we received our visa codes with enough time to obtain the visa and had
our passports back a week before departure.
In country, we had
Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini as our guide. He is perhaps one of the best
tour guides I have ever had. His knowledge of the sites and the history
is bar-none. There was no question we had that he could not answer. What
we really appreciated was that he quickly grasped what our interests
were and tailored the trip to them. Not on the itinerary but worth the
visit is the Music Museum of Isfahan. Seyed Ali knew that as a musician,
I, in particular, would appreciate this place. We spent almost 3 hours
looking at musical instruments from Iran as well as listening to a live
performance of musicians who work on site.
Would we go back?
Without a doubt! Forget everything you have heard about Iran and
anything you have formulated in your mind. The experience will
completely blow your mind. Just go! Oh...and ask for Seyed Ali as your
guide. He will not only be your guide, but also a true friend.
