I recently took a 12 day tour of Iran and overall the experience was a good one. My guide was Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini, and he was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. He was a big help in making the trip as smooth as possible and did more than he needed to in order to make the trip memorable. He will become a good friend by the end of the trip.

It's not very easy to get into Iran as an American, so the opportunity to visit is quite special and I'd recommend anyone reading this to give it a try. Another benefit of having a guide even if you don't require one is the knowledge of the currency situation and navigating a country that is more difficult than others.

Perhaps the only critique I would have is that we had more "down time" than I expected. Some days the program was quite short. It felt like a 9 or 10 day tour built into a 12 day tour. However for some people this maybe desirable since Iran can be very hot and resting is important. So just talk to the company and inquire about your specific desires, everyone is different and wants different things.

To sum things up, this is a good company and if you get Ali, he will give you knowledge of Iran that you can't get easily from the outside.

We've been travelling with our guide Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini and driver Rostami, our "Captain Ali", for our 12-day trip. They both showed professionalism in ensuring a smooth and safe trip, especially when we underwent rainstorm plus sandstorm. They both showed their expertise in managing the situation and ensuring our trip able to progress as planned. Our guide Ali is very knowledgeable and gives us historical lessons. We are all very pleased to have them guiding us throughout the trip, and had a lot of fun travelling with them. Without doubt, we highly recommend them both!

I just returned from a customized 8 day tour of Iran visiting Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz w/Persepolis in my April 2018. It was at the mid level accommodation tier. Their website has a few standard tour templates but they are very open to customizing it exactly how you would like it to be, and at a Very reasonable price.
It was basically a private tour with myself and my tour guide Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini, who was from Shiraz.

Before the tour started, Mahnaz, the tour manager did a great job helping me (US Citizen) go through the visa application process since there was quite a bit of paperwork involved for travelers of certain countries. Mahnaz was very responsive to my questions and provided answers that helped me make good decisions. Uppersia is managed very well and they have some great tour guides who are very knowledgeable and will make your trip to Iran unforgettable.

My guide, Ali Hosseini from Shiraz was the best part of my tour. The knowledge he had about each attraction along with some personal anecdotes or other tidbits of information really put things into context and made me understand the site more than just what books would say. This bit of extra context is really what made Ali helpful and standout from other tours I've done in the past in other parts of the world.

Would highly recommend Uppersia to anyone who is interested in visiting Iran and their beautiful country, history, culture, cuisine and warm and welcoming people

My wife and I (both Americans) arranged a private 13-night tour of Iran with Uppersia in Shiraz.  We developed our own itinerary and selected our own accommodations which  were fine with Uppersia.  The entire tour went just as we had planned and the only problem was delays in receiving responses to our email messages in the month before our departure.  Once we were given the name of our guide, we had no problems communicating with him by email.   As Americans, we were required to have both a driver and guide arranged by Uppersia.  Our guide was Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini about whom others have made very favorable comments.  Seyed is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, personable and candid in his answers and comments on all subjects.  He contributed immeasurably to our enjoyment of the tour and we believe we developed a real friendship over the two weeks.  We recommend him highly.  Of the fifty or so trips abroad we have taken, our tour of Iran was easily the most interesting and revealing.  As elsewhere in the Middle East, the Iranian people are incredibly welcoming and, in our case,  were particularly   surprised and happy to meet and speak with Americans.

I have traveled around Iran as part of the charity motor race Mongol Rally, where Uppersia helped us with all formalities ang. Own car and travel in Iran. I was in the unfortunate situation of losing my passport a few days before I was going to Iran, but thanks to Uppersia I managed to enter the country without an invitation or authorization code. I thought that my whole holiday was lost, but still got six good days in Iran. Which I am happy. Had the pleasure of tour guide Ali Hosseini, who was sweet and full throughout. I would definitely recommend this tourist bureau at all.
