“A truly great week”

There is so much positive to say about this trip so I will try and keep it short-ish.
From the moment I enquired about the trip Uppersia and Mahnaz were incredibly helpful and once we booked super efficient.
When we landed in Tehran we were straight in to a taxi and off to the hotel in the city, here we met our tour guide Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini (Ali) and we hit the trail!
Ali is incredibly knowledgable about his countries history, culture and people as well a very proud Shirazi. He thought about the tour and after considering our interests took the time to make changes to the itinerary. We felt at home with Ali from homemade lunches with treats from his mum to meeting all of his friends on his birthday he was awesome.
Highlights from the trip for me included the Music Museum in Isfahan as well as the Khaju Bridge, Persepolis, the vibe of Shiraz and the food but most importantly the people of Iran are the real highlight.
I would thoroughly recommend a trip to Iran, Uppersia and Ali.

“7 fantastic days in Iran”

Three big cheers! One for Iran and its lovely people, another for Uppersia for a well organised trip and a last but by no means least and perhaps the loudest cheer of all for our guide Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini, Ali for short.
Where to start? I travelled with my grown up son with neither of us really knowing what to expect.
We were picked up at the airport in the early morning and very soon experienced what was to my eyes an utterly chaotic traffic system but a system which by the end of the week seemed almost normal though crossing the main streets needed a lot of concentration and nerve. We dropped our stuff off at the hotel, met our guide and by 9.am we were off sight-seeing in Tehran with a very full day of visits.
Ali is a young man with a great knowledge of all the sites we visited and, which I think is vital in a tour guide , he has a good sense of humour.
Next day we flew down to Shiraz in Fars province. Shiraz is both the traditional and contemporary cultural heart of Iran and as Ali is a very enthusiastic and proud Shirazi we got the works. It was Ali's birthday while we were there and he invited us to a party in his friends new cafe, It was a great night of boisterous fun and singing. Not a drop of booze in sight.
From Shiraz we took a very comfortable and spacious coach trip up to Isfahan. It is a quite a long trip in the coach which I was not particularly looking forward to but because there was plenty of room on the VIP coach and the scenery was all new it went much more quickly than I imagined it would. It also gave me a chance to rest my feet because we had had a full on itinerary so far.
Isfahan was a real treat. Ali quoted and translated with passion the poetry of the 14th century, Shiraz born poet Hafez as we walked along the river bank at night just above the illuminated bridge of 30 arches. A great experience. Big thanks to Ali.
A particular treat for me was a visit to the the Isfahan music museum.
The staff all speak good English and give a very good tour of the museum with plenty of good humour particularly from the curator. There is a craftsman in his workshop to show you how the instruments are made and repaired. After the tour there is a short concert played in an intimate room below the museum. We were fortunate to have four musicians playing for us, stringed instruments and percussion. They somehow knew it was Ali's birthday and did a rendition of Happy Birthday that I am unlikely to hear the likes of ever again. A real treat of a visit with a lot of humour and affection. Eventually we got back to Tehran to finish the tour with a day at the Revolution celebrations on Feb 10th and a trip round the Golestan Palace complex which had some of the most extravagant , flamboyant and not a little ostentatious, interior decoration your are likely to see.
Next morning it was a not too early start for the airport and home to the UK.

I think we dropped lucky with several things on our trip , one, we had Ali and his birthday which everyone seemed to know about , two, the usually dry river at Isfahan was full of water which because of drought and climate change it mostly isn't but the dam up- river had been opened for a couple of weeks and we saw the famous bridge at its best and then we were in Tehran on 10th February for the celebration of the revolution of 1979 and there were thousands upon thousands of people on the street.

We visited Iran in February and the weather was ideal, cool nights of minus 2 or 3 C but sunny days up to 10 degrees. Just one afternoon of rain in Tehran. February is off peak season and all the better for it. Big sites like Persepolis were relatively empty which made for better photos and walking around in the cooler temperatures was a joy.
The 2017 convention of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations was held in Shiraz in February and the poster slogan was Iran: Friendly Faces , Open Arms, Ancient Cultures, Timeless Charms. - and that is exactly what we found.

“Incredible Iran with UPPERSIA”

سه شنبه, ۲۱ دی ۱۳۹۵، ۰۷:۱۸ ب.ظ

A huge THANKS to Uppersia, Mahnaz and her team!! And a Special Thanks to Ali (Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini)!! In all our adventures, we never traveled on a booked tour and had reservations about this trip. However, as a U.S. passport holder, I had no other option. The reservations melted away as soon as we started working with Mahnaz. She answered all our questions promptly and set up an amazing tour! We went with the "3-Star" option and it was incredible. Hotels were clean and in great locations in each city. We took public transportation (taxis within cities and buses from city to city). Ali (Tour Guide) took care of all these arrangements. Our tour was 11-days and included Tahran, a flight to Shiraz and then buses to Yazd, to Isfahan, to Kashan and then back to Tehran. We can't say enough about Ali. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Yes, he knew the history, the cities, and the places to go but more than that he gave it a personal touch. From a lunch made at his home the evening before, to personal stories growing up in Shiraz, to his university experience, to the explanation of current affairs, we could not have asked for a better guide. Don't wait... go to Iran and book the tour with Uppersia and ask for Ali. Andy in Bangkok

“Thanks seyed ali mohammad Hosseini for an amazing tour of Iran!

My family and I really felt lucky that we had Seyed Ali Mohammad Hosseini as our guide. His work is not just a job for him, it was obvious that he's passionate about the cultural heritage of Iran and he truly loves sharing his wealth of knowledge with visitors. Not only did he know all the facts, history, intriguing details, but he also knew when was the best time to visit a site for optimal lighting, or where's the less known hidden spot for that impressive panorama view, or how best to see the stars when we stayed at the caravanserai. It really felt like he knew everything. He stunned everyone with his singing of call to prayer and helped us take the most artistic photos that bedazzled my friends ("that looks like a photo from National Geographic" - one friend said). Ali has the patience of a saint and always went above and beyond what was expected of him. He regularly bought us special treats (and he knows the best places to find them), gave me his own mint remedies when I had a sore stomach, and he helped us tip hotel porters and pay for taxis and would never say a thing unless we ask him how much he's paid on our behalf. He surprised my sister with a birthday cake and candle, graciously resolved any issues we may have from broken glasses to hotel room exchange, took us to see religious celebrations in the evening during his own free time. We trusted him entirely (my sister and I would literally hand him our envelope of money to pay for us when we were getting confused by the huge Iranian bills), and considered him as a part of our family. He quickly picked up common Shanghainese phrases we were saying and started speaking to us in the Shanghai dialect and called us by our Shanghainese names. When a European tourist shouted at my family - you, Chinese, move!, Ali confronted him; and when the tourist asked him if he's Iranian, Ali responded in solidarity - "I'm Chinese". Ali took great care of us and made the tour super fun. We ran into one of Ali's colleagues during our tour and he said to us - "you know you have the best tour guide in Iran?". I nodded and said - of course, we know.

seyed ali mohammad hosseini as tour guide

- The guides arranged by the agency were really great. We had Seyed Ali  Mohammad Hosseini for the first 10 days of our trip. He went far beyond what a typical guide would do to allow us to experience the true Iran, and to enjoy our trip. He took us to the restaurants that made the best local dishes in each city so that we not only experienced the full range of Iranian cuisine, but also surprisingly didn't get tired of Iranian food after 10 days. My sister and I really loved the handicrafts in Esfahan. Ali actually took us to visit the master makers in their shops. When my sister and I had our camel bone boxes and paintings personalized by the master maker, it really made our day. Ali is also really well-rounded. Whether he was singing the call for prayer, or reciting Saadi or Hafez poems, or helping you to take the most artistic picture with just your cell phone, or picking the sweetest watermelon and grapes, making you special mint tea to treat stomach discomfort, all we could say was WOW. He also learned a few Chinese phrases so that my mom, who does not speak English, did not feel left out. When Ali started addressing all of us in our Shanghaiese dialect (he said he practiced hundreds of times at night), he was truly family

We spent 2 weeks in Iran and I cannot stop looking at the amazing pictures and thinking about the trip! It was a magnificent experience.

We went to Alamut, Tehran, Qazvin, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kashan, Yazd, and Mashhad.

Our official tour guide, Ali, was wonderful. He is one of a kind! Ali is licensed by the Iranian government to accompany American tourists. He was extremely respectful and professional. He did not complain about the extra time we required to take our pictures in any one location or about how long our days were. He was very accommodating to our needs.

An amazing country and an even more amazing guide. We are two americans who scheduled a private tour for 10 days. We were apprehensive at first, as we are quite independent travelers and have never used a guide or service before. That quickly changed when we met, Ali Mohammad Hosseini. We started off as tourists and guide but left close friends. Ali seemingly knew everyone, everywhere we went. Even off the beaten path tea shops that we chose. Ali was more than happy to answer every one of our questions about modern life in Iran. Translated every sign we pointed out. Was perhaps the only guide in the history of tourism to keep the shops owners and sales people at bay. When we wanted to go to a popular restaurant for lunch, Ali knew one of the managers and we were able to skip the long queue. We were like VIPs at all times.

Having visited 40+ countries, Iran was our favorite. The people were so kind and generous. If you are considering visiting, I cant recommend Iran enough. It's really special. Mahnaz handled all of our logistics in the office. No issues with the visa process. She was a great help with planning.

I'll leave it at this : About three days into our trip, we started planning our return back in March. We can't wait to be united with Ali again!

“AMAZING TRIP THROUGH IRAN WITH Seyed ali mohammad hosseini!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We just completed a magical 10 days with Ali through Iran. As americans, I was nervous and did not know what to expect. Ali made me feel safe and comfortable and was very knowledgable and patient with all of my questions. I can truly say that we made a friend in Ali.
He was patient with our photo taking, our cultural questions and our interest in seeing all of Iran, even if it meant long days and multiple chandour shopping quests.
Ali is well liked all over iran and it was apparent by the friends we would meet on the street. We will definitely go back- the photos from this trip alone are INSANE- and we will definitely come to see Ali again!!

Thanks to our lovely guide Ali, our 7 day tour of Tehran, Shiraz and Esfahan was wonderful.
We are on an extended bout of travelling and I have to say that Iran was amongst the most beautiful and friendliest of all the countries we have visited. Especially notable were the breathtaking mosques and the many incredibly welcoming people we got to meet and chat with.
Ali is an awesome guide. He is totally laid-back, patient and sweet, as well as extremely knowledgeable. He always went the extra mile to help us have the best, most interesting time.
More people should definitely visit Iran and highly recommend doing it with Ali

Our guide, Ali, was also extremely patient and went out of his way to make sure we got what we wanted (I fancied 'kuku', an Iranian dish but couldn't find it, so when we were in Shiraz he went home and made me some!) Iran and its attractions are fabulous, the tour was very well organised and we did as much as possible in the week we had. نوشته
